Looked at one in my local shop that had bare metal for the steps and I think this looks a lot better and is more comfortable for my son.

Never seen this type of bed before when we were looking for a new bed for my sons room. Solves the problem of having too little space when the family comes to stay at Christmas quite nicely. It is a sturdy old thing as well, more so than a traditional bunk as there is a wider base. Very pleased to have found this in fact.
