This mattress features 800 pocket springs, each of which is encased in it's own fabric pocket so that it reacts independently of the others, giving your body more balanced support. These springs also help to prevent roll together, something that can occur with traditional open coil mattresses.
A 25mm layer of memory foam sits on top of these pocket springs and this allows you to sink into the mattress ever so slightly which means that your spine is aligned and pressure doesn't build on your joints.

- Best bet for a bunk bed

I wanted new mattresses for my sons bunk bed as their old mattresses were starting to look a bit tired. I sleep on a pocket sprung mattress which has a layer of memory foam and thought that the boys might like something similar and as this was the only option in the bunk bed category went for this. It is not as well made as mine but then it is very cheap in comparison. The boys both much prefer this to the old mattress because of the foam layer which means they can not feel the springs. I wouldn't buy either them or myself an open coil mattress again and next time I might buy them something better than these but they will be fine for the time being.
